Am 18. und 19. Oktober wurde Albanien zum Hotspot der Forschung für Süßwasserökologie. Namhafte Wissenschaftler aus den USA, Japan und vielen europäischen Ländern nahmen am 18. Oktober am Wild Rivers Science Symposium und der Wild Rivers Night in Tirana teil und diskutierten über den kritischen Zustand von Flüssen weltweit und die Notwendigkeit, die letzten intakten Flusssysteme zu schützen. Organisiert wurden die Events von der Universität Tirana in Kooperation mit der Universität Wien (mehr Informationen und Fotos HIER).
